This program is useful when doing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) of bearings that contain degrees, minutes, seconds.

Run the DMSCALC program by pressing PRGM, scrolling to DMSCALC and pressing ENTER twice.

Here’s an example showing addition and subtraction:

WARNING

Do NOT use the + or - buttons to perform arithmetic like 1.5+0.5 as it will perform the addition prior to being converted from D.MMSS and give you the wrong result!

Each number entered (as D.MMSS) will be added to the previous number.

Enter 0 to reset.
